A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you have a Linux cloud hosting with our company and you wish to activate the catch-all option for a given email mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally just a click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button again will disable the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated hosting account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you will be able to remove the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will notify you in case you’re trying to enable a 2nd catch-all email address for a given domain or if there is active email forwarding, but it will never change or disable any feature automatically and without your permission.
